Utah Tech’s young leg with upside and a recruiting pedigree
Dax Iverson is a redshirt freshman placekicker/punter at Utah Tech in the 2026 season, listed at 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, with a Fremont High background and first-team all-region plus Utah 6A all-state honors coming out of high school. Utah Tech’s roster notes also show he was recruited by programs like Utah, BYU, Utah State, Ohio State, Baylor, Nevada, and Oregon State, which says plenty about his leg talent and ceiling. He looks like a developmental special-teams piece: multi-role value, local toughness, and enough upside to be worth tracking for a team needing competition and flexibility.
