Miami’s bruising, pro-tested frontcourt presence
Dewan Hernandez is a 6-foot-11 Miami native who became a legitimate interior force for the Hurricanes, averaging 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds in the 2017-18 season before his college career was interrupted by NCAA eligibility issues in 2018-19.[13][14] He brings size, rebounding, rim protection and a physical downhill style that can tilt a game without needing touches called for him, but his long NCAA layoff and off-court baggage make him more of a known risk-reward package than a clean fit.[7][11][15]
