Troy’s veteran swing-man: Tavon Matthews brings plug-and-play size and experience up front
In the 2024 season, Tavon Matthews appeared in three games for Troy and logged snaps at center and right guard, finishing with a perfect 100 PFF efficiency rating in limited action. He’s a 6-foot-1, 319-pound redshirt senior with experience at East Tennessee State, and the big differentiator is versatility: he can survive at multiple interior spots, which is gold for depth-hungry offensive lines.
