Joey Esposito brings real pop and veteran poise behind the plate for Lehigh
In the 2026 season, Joey Esposito has shown why he’s more than a depth catcher: he delivered a three-run homer at Miami and has chipped in timely offense for Lehigh, while also bringing a transfer’s perspective after previous stops at Rutgers and a strong prep résumé at Monmouth Regional. He’s a right-handed catcher with experience, some run-producing juice, and a bounce-back mindset after injury setbacks, which makes him an appealing fit for a team that values toughness, maturity, and a bat that can surprise people.
