Drew Welk brings swing-and-miss relief upside to Saint Louis
In the 2025 season at Bellevue College, Drew Welk posted a 1.63 ERA with 42 strikeouts in 27.2 innings and two saves, then arrived at Saint Louis as a right-handed bullpen arm with legit late-inning bite. His calling card is strikeout stuff — a sharp 13.66 K/9 in 2025 — plus experience in pressure spots, which makes him the kind of reliever coaches trust when games get tight. He’s a strong fit for teams needing a competitive, high-leverage arm who can miss bats and handle closing innings.
