Austin Klug brings veteran right-handed depth and strike-throwing value to Purdue
In the 2025 season, Austin Klug gave Purdue a useful multi-inning relief option after battling back from an injury-limited stretch earlier that school year, and his profile has been that of a durable, team-first righty who can help cover innings. Purdue’s roster notes say he returned on March 2 after a back injury, logged at least two innings in seven of 15 appearances, and delivered a season-high three innings in back-to-back April outings, while his junior-college track record showed a jump to 12.2 strikeouts per nine in 2024. The fit question is simple: if a staff wants a competitor with experience, academic polish, and real arm talent, Klug is a solid bet.
