Local-speed back with upside, but still waiting on a real college workload
In the 2025 season, Max Guest made his collegiate debut for Appalachian State in the postseason and logged 3 kickoff returns for 68 yards, including a long of 30, which hints at burst and utility more than a finished feature-back résumé. At 5-foot-9 and about 185-190 pounds, he’s built compactly and profiles as a quick, versatile back with special-teams value. The big question for a team: there isn’t much college production yet, so the appeal is more projection, athleticism, and developmental upside than proven Saturday-to-Saturday volume.
