Rich Kelly brings veteran shot-making and steady guard play to UMass
Rich Kelly is a crafty, experienced guard whose calling card is efficient perimeter scoring, quick decision-making, and mature playmaking; in the 2021-22 season for UMass, he averaged 12.5 points and 3.2 assists while coach Frank Martin described him as a player who can score from anywhere, push the ball, and make the right read on ball screens. He’s the kind of fit that helps stabilize an offense: older, composed, and reliable under pressure, with proven range and a feel for running a team.
