Jonathan Kim is the kind of fit coaches love: a left-handed Michigan outfielder with a proven hit tool, speed, and enough gap power to keep pitchers honest. In the 2025 season, he opened hot and continued showing top-of-the-order value, and Michigan’s notes credited him with an early .500 average, 9-for-18 start, and Big Ten hit-leader status over the opening weekend. He also missed part of the 2024 season with injury, so durability is part of the evaluation, but when healthy he looks like a high-contact, energetic, table-setting bat who can help a lineup in more ways than one.
