Matt Dill is Troy’s freshman RHP who kept punching above his weight in 2026
In the 2026 season, Matt Dill quickly emerged as a useful right-handed arm for Troy, working 20 appearances across 37 innings with 24 strikeouts and a 4-2 record, while his best stretch came in midweek and relief work where he showed poise and strike-throwing efficiency. He’s a 6-foot-1, right-right pitcher from Baylor School who was ranked the No. 18 prospect in Tennessee by Prep Baseball Report, and the real draw is the combination of compete, versatility, and calm in big spots—he’s the kind of arm a staff can trust early and late.
