LJ Edwards brings size, left-handed pop, and a top-outfield prospect tag to Virginia
LJ Edwards entered Virginia in the 2025-26 season as a 6-foot-1, 205-pound freshman outfielder and was cited as one of the nation’s top 15 outfield recruits by Perfect Game, which tells you the tools are real[1][3]. He is a left-handed hitter and thrower with a physically advanced build, and reporting around UVA’s roster framed him as a contributor in the outfield mix rather than a pure project[1][3]. The main appeal: upside, athletic projection, and a bat that could grow into impact production if his approach and game speed keep catching up.
