Hawaii’s rangy junior safety brings steady tackling and watch-list buzz
In the 2025 season, Kona Moore logged 9 total tackles for Hawaii, and in 2026 he earned a spot on the Polynesian Player of the Year watch list, a nice sign that the Rainbow Warriors value his impact beyond the box score.[13][14] The 6-foot, 190-pound junior is a reliable defensive back with starter-level physicality and enough versatility to show up as a safety/free safety in roster and ratings listings.[2][5][12] He looks like a fit for teams wanting a disciplined, development-minded defender who can play with toughness and stay in the rotation.
