Experienced Southern guard with size, toughness, and versatile rebounding
JaMarcus Weatherspoon is a 6-5 Southern guard from Baton Rouge whose value comes from physicality, experience, and all-around hustle more than pure shot creation. ESPN lists him with career marks of 5.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game, while Southern’s roster notes his previous stop at Texas State and his Baton Rouge/Istrouma background[1][2]. In a lineup, he looks like a dependable connector who can defend multiple spots and rebound well for a guard, though his low assist totals and inconsistent perimeter shooting suggest he fits best as a role player, not a primary engine[1][4].
