Tar'Varish Dawson brings speed and versatility to FIU’s receiver room
Dawson is a quick, multi-use wideout whose best college tape came in 2023 at Colorado, when he played in seven games, made four starts, and posted 14 catches for 124 yards plus a receiving and rushing touchdown. His differentiators are burst, open-field juice, and gadget value—he can win on reverses, underneath touches, and occasional vertical shots rather than relying on pure size. He has also shown he can step into a starting role when needed, though his production has been inconsistent across stops, so he looks best as a complementary playmaker rather than a featured alpha target.
