Lipscomb's Speed-Driven Outfielder with ASUN Player-of-the-Week Honors
Elle Smith, the 5'0" senior left fielder for the Lipscomb Bisons, stands out as a high-intensity speedster who started all 42 games in the 2025 season, batting .263 with 31 hits, 14 RBI, and 4 stolen bases while posting a .341 on-base percentage[1][7]. Her differentiator is her explosive base-running and clutch hitting, evidenced by her ASUN Player-of-the-Week award where she hit .538 with matching on-base and slugging percentages in a single week[5]. Beyond stats, Coach Ryman calls her a 'player we knew about' for her speed and intensity, highlighting her personality as a relentless, team-first competitor who signed with the Herd for her speedster traits[4]. She is an ideal fit for teams needing a high-energy outfielder who elevates play with speed and consistency, not just power.
