old-school forward with a rebounding edge and a blue-collar motor
Ekanem was a 6-foot-7 forward for Northern Arizona who brought physicality, rebounding, and hard-nosed interior play; in the 2011-12 season he appeared in all 28 games with 16 starts and was coming off a stretch of back-to-back double-digit scoring games, including a career-high 12 points at Weber State. He profiles as the kind of glue guy coaches trust: active on the glass, steady in the post, and willing to do the dirty work rather than chase headlines. If your team needs toughness and efficiency over flash, he fits the bill.
