Veteran UNO guard back from knee rehab, bringing grit and steady two-way value
In the 2024-25 season, senior guard Brianna Ellis returned after rehabbing a knee injury and showed she can still be a useful glue player for New Orleans, with 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game in 16.8 minutes.[10][8] Her value is less about flashy volume and more about toughness, defensive activity and reliability—she played 63 games with 31 starts entering that year, and her return gave the Privateers a seasoned perimeter option who can stabilize lineups when healthy.[9][12]
