Elle Merlino brings multi-position versatility and timely pop for Santa Clara
Merlino has been a useful all-around piece for Santa Clara, showing up in the middle of games with run production and occasional power, including a home run against LMU in 2026 and a .263 average with two homers across 48 games and 46 starts in the 2025 season.[4][2] At 5'10", she offers legitimate INF/OF versatility, and her recent recognition as an Academic All-District honoree suggests a dependable, high-character profile that fits teams looking for a smart, coachable utility bat rather than a one-tool player.[2][6]
