Lengthy, defensive-minded freshman with upside at Eastern Illinois
Buckhalton entered Eastern Illinois as a 6'0" wing/forward from Stillwater, Minnesota, where she averaged 13.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.9 steals as a senior and was a top-10 player in the state. In the 2025-26 season, she has played in 6 games off the bench, giving the Panthers a long, active defender who can rebound and flash spot-up range; she’s already shown she can contribute in limited minutes, including a three-point make in her collegiate debut. Her calling card is effort: hard-playing, disruptive, and a potential OVC glue piece with real two-way upside.
