Dynamic St. John’s Guard, Elite Shot Creator, Defensive Playmaker
Ponds is a high-motor, scoring-first guard whose biggest value has been his ability to create offense under pressure while also generating steals and making winning plays; at St. John’s, he built a reputation as one of the program’s most dynamic guards, with multiple 20-point outings and strong all-around production in college. He fits best for a team that wants toughness, pace, and a guard who can carry stretches offensively, but the key question is whether you need a lead creator more than a pure floor general.
