Arissah Garza brings contact-first grit and infield versatility to SIUE
Garza is a 5-foot-4 infielder for SIU Edwardsville whose value is more about reliability and competitive edge than loud stat lines: in 2025 she appeared in 13 games with 11 starts and batted .120 with three hits and three RBIs, and her 2026 college stat page currently lists her as a sophomore infielder[4][5]. Her best fit is a program that wants a steady, defense-minded utility piece who can keep improving with reps; she also has a note-worthy clutch background from Central High School, including a walk-off hit in a postseason win, which hints at poise under pressure[9].
