Nick Ungania is New Haven’s table-setter: speedy, steady, and clutch
In the 2026 season, Nick Ungania has been a spark at the top of the New Haven lineup, hitting .255 with 36 hits, 14 runs, 5 doubles, 22 walks, and 12 steals in 41 games—small-ball chaos with purpose. He’s shown real versatility too, appearing primarily in center field in 2026 after previously contributing as a catcher, and his game reads as high-effort, high-IQ, and team-first. The differentiator here is not just speed; it’s the combo of on-base patience, base-running pressure, and timely contact that makes him a fit for teams needing energy and reliability.
