John Love is Virginia Tech’s automatic-leg kicker with legit range
In the 2025 season, John Love looked like a real weapon for Virginia Tech, connecting on 15 of 20 field goals and going a perfect 20-for-20 on extra points, while also showing deep-range juice with makes from 50+ yards and a 56-yard long. He’s a high-confidence, clutch-style specialist who adds hidden value in close games: reliable on PATs, dangerous from distance, and already near the top of Virginia Tech’s scoring lists. If your team wants a kicker who can flip field-position math and survive pressure moments, Love absolutely belongs on the shortlist.
