Amelia Basit brings size, rebounding, and paint presence to William & Mary
Basit is a 6-foot-1 freshman forward whose value starts with interior toughness: William & Mary recruited her as a strong inside presence, and her high school résumé included multiple 20-rebound games and more than 10 rebounds per game as a senior, plus a recovery from a torn ACL that speaks to resilience.[11][14] In her early 2025-26 college minutes, she has been a low-usage depth piece rather than a volume scorer, so her appeal is as a physical, hard-nosed frontcourt fit who can rebound, finish through contact, and add energy more than flash.[1][3][8]
