Anthony Eager is South Alabama’s steady chain-mover with preseason buzz
In the 2025 season, Anthony Eager emerged as a reliable South Alabama target with 40 catches for 339 yards and 1 touchdown, and he enters 2026 on the Sun Belt preseason second team. He’s a 6-foot-1 receiver who wins with dependability more than flash, and he also showed some gadget value with 24 rushing yards and a score in 2025. The bigger upside note: he’s back in fall camp after a broken hand that wiped out spring work, so the question is health, not talent.
