A.J. Colarusso built Boston College's rotation with strikeout stuff and rare durability
A.J. Colarusso is a left-handed workhorse whose calling card is volume, competitiveness, and bat-missing ability: in 2026 he posted a career-best 4.45 ERA with 77 strikeouts in 83 innings, and Boston College says he finished as the program’s all-time leader in starts and among its career leaders in innings and strikeouts.[4][17] The differentiator is not just the numbers but the profile—he took on top-of-rotation assignments, handled heavy pitch counts in big games, and drew praise for gutsy, high-leverage outings, making him a fit for teams that value toughness, innings, and a starter who can take the ball every weekend.[6][14][18]
