Ethan McHugh is a depth arm with upside in Cornell’s loaded 2026 pitching mix
McHugh is a right-handed pitcher at Cornell who logged his first collegiate action in the 2025 season, working two relief innings against Binghamton and striking out two while allowing two runs, and Cornell’s 2026 pitching staff was described as one of the deepest in Division I with 81.8% of innings returning. His appeal is less about flashy volume and more about fit: a 5-foot-9, 176-pound strike-thrower who adds roster balance, brings a walk-on edge, and gives the Big Red a compact, competitive option if you value toughness, development, and a pitcher who can earn trust in low-pressure innings.
