Avery Johnson Jr. brings shot-making juice and guard versatility to Alabama
Avery Johnson Jr. is a useful backcourt piece for Alabama because he combines perimeter scoring instincts with a guard’s feel for the game, while his production has been modest so far in limited college minutes. ESPN lists him at 4.0 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game, and Alabama’s roster notes show he has already flashed confidence from deep in AAU play, including a 16-point game with four made threes. If you value a poised, developing guard with upside rather than an instant-volume star, he fits that profile.
