Travis Church gives Marist a versatile glove-first option behind the plate and in the infield
Travis Church is an attractive fit for a staff that values defensive versatility, because he can handle both catcher and infield duties for Marist while giving the roster flexibility in game planning and late-game matchups. Publicly available stat and scouting detail on his individual production is limited, so the best read is that his value likely comes more from adaptability, reliability, and position coverage than from headline offensive numbers. If you need a multi-use defender who can help stabilize a lineup card, Church is the kind of low-drama, high-function piece coaches love.
