High-upside arm with swing-and-miss stuff, but still ironing out command
In the 2026 season, Coppin State pitcher Aaden Lopez has flashed strikeout ability — 17 Ks in 11.2 innings — but the command has been shaky, with 30 walks and a 23.91 ERA, so the raw stuff is clearly there while consistency remains the big question. He’s been used as both a starter and a situational arm, and his profile suggests an aggressive pitcher who can miss bats but needs better strike-throwing to unlock real value. If your team wants upside and is willing to develop him, he’s interesting; if you need immediate reliability, he’s still a work in progress.
