Big-bodied WVU transfer with breakout upside
In the 2026 season, TaRon Francis enters West Virginia as a redshirt freshman WR with SEC pedigree, listed at 6-foot-1 and 216 pounds, and the kind of frame that can win in the slot or outside. He was a consensus four-star recruit and top-160 prospect, and multiple WVU reports describe him as a high-upside, versatile weapon with real “wow factor” after a strong high-school résumé of 76 catches, 1,383 yards, and 14 TDs. The catch: he has no college stats yet, so he’s still a projection play—but a loud one.
