Austin Castillo is healthy again and a rotation arm worth watching at Long Beach State
In the 2026 season, Castillo returned from an injury-ruined 2025 and is listed as a right-handed pitcher for Long Beach State, a sign the staff still sees real upside in his arm. He’s a compact 5-foot-10, 180-pound redshirt sophomore from Riverside, and the key takeaway is availability: after missing last season, he’s back in the mix and could provide needed depth if his stuff and command hold. For a team looking for a young pitcher with comeback energy and room to grow, he’s an intriguing fit.
