Xavier’s do-it-all guard who makes winning look tidy
Colby Jones is a versatile, high-IQ guard who stood out at Xavier for his all-around game: in the 2022-23 season, he averaged 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.3 steals while helping Xavier reach the Big East title game and NCAA Sweet 16. He’s the kind of glue guy coaches love—physical, composed, a good passer, and strong in the mid-range and at the rim. The knock was never effort; it was mostly polish on the jumper and free throws. If you want a guard who can rebound, organize, defend, and quietly tilt winning, he fits beautifully.
