Messiah Burch offers Buffalo a versatile, pass-catching back with burst
Burch looks like a useful change-of-pace RB for Buffalo: the 2024 season showed a real all-purpose profile with 153 rushing yards, two rushing TDs, and nine catches for 99 receiving yards, while his 2025 role was smaller, with 41 rushing yards and four receptions in six games. Buffalo describes him as a versatile athlete who can play both wide receiver and running back, and the game data backs up that dual-threat utility. His best traits appear to be quickness, receiving upside, and academic discipline, though he is not yet a high-volume feature back.
