Eli King is North Dakota’s defensive wrecking ball with a sneaky offensive bump
In the 2025-26 season, Eli King has been a do-it-all senior guard for North Dakota, averaging 11.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game while starting every game[5]. His calling card is disruptive defense—he piled up 72 steals and earned Summit League Defensive Player of the Year honors, with coverage noting he’s the only Division I player to combine 70+ steals and 25+ blocks this season[15]. Offensively, he’s grown into a steadier scorer, which makes him a strong fit for teams needing a physical, high-motor two-way guard who can tilt possessions without needing the ball to dominate.
