Korbin Pettigrew brings pro-size upside and a contact-first profile to UIC
In the 2026 season, Korbin Pettigrew entered UIC’s roster as a 6-foot-4, 200-pound junior outfielder with a right-right profile and a raw tools package that scouts have liked since his prep days, including loose hands, a level barrel path, and above-average barrel feel. His pre-college evaluations also noted real speed for his size, which hints at a more dynamic ceiling than the frame alone suggests. He’s a fit for a staff looking for athletic upside and development runway, though his current UIC stat line is limited/unclear, so the value case is more about projection than production right now.
