Productive backup, but injuries and role limit the ceiling
In the 2023 season, Cam’Ron Valdez showed burst as Texas Tech’s primary backup, rushing for 286 yards and a touchdown on 52 carries while flashing enough efficiency to earn a strong PFF grade, but a knee injury in 2024 cut his follow-up campaign to just two games. He’s a compact 5-9, 200-pound back with legit versatility and a willingness to run between the tackles, yet his college story has been shaped as much by availability as ability. Short version: intriguing depth back, not a proven lead option.
