Lane-Owens has the kind of transferable production that coaches love: in the 2024 season at Coffeyville, he posted 69 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 11 games, then arrived at Appalachian State at 6-1, 220 with two years of JUCO impact on his résumé. His calling card is disruptive, physical linebacker play — the kind that shows up in run fits, behind the line of scrimmage, and in effort snaps that don’t need a stat sheet to impress. If you want a tough, active defender with upside, he’s worth the look.
