Demond Taylor Jr. brings proven, high-effort interior production to NIU
Taylor is a sturdy, dependable defensive tackle who has been a near-constant presence for Northern Illinois, missing just one game since the start of the 2020 season. In the 2024 season, he posted 21 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, a pass breakup, and a career-high five tackles for loss, showing disruptive value beyond the box score. Over his NIU career, he finished with 106 tackles and 13.5 tackles for loss, making him a fit for teams that want a disciplined, physical interior defender who can anchor, hold gaps, and create occasional havoc without needing the spotlight.[1]
