In the 2025 season, Desmond Reid has continued to show why Pitt values him as more than a traditional RB: he’s a dynamic all-purpose weapon with 278 rushing yards, 317 receiving yards, two rushing/receiving touchdowns, and a punt-return TD, plus 60 carries and 23 catches through the games logged on Pitt’s roster update. He’s dangerous in space, explosive on special teams, and versatile enough to stress defenses as a runner, receiver, and returner. The one flag is availability—he has already missed time due to injury—but when healthy, he looks like a high-impact, scheme-friendly fit.
