Tristan Hunter brings strikeout juice, but command is the swing skill
In the 2026 season, Tristan Hunter flashed swing-and-miss stuff for Kentucky, striking out 12 in 6.1 innings, and over his two seasons with the Wildcats he piled up 38 strikeouts in 22.2 innings while keeping opponents under .200 at the plate. The upside is real: a live right arm with bat-missing ability that plays in high-leverage relief, but the walk totals and shaky run prevention show the command still has to catch up. If your team wants an arm with bite and development runway, he’s intriguing; if you need instant precision, the fit is less clean.
