Xavier Valley brings 6-foot-8 shooting punch and veteran JUCO polish to Morgan State
Valley is a 6-foot-8 forward whose calling card is stretch-forward shooting; Morgan State described him as bringing “top notch shooting” and a skill set the Bears needed when he arrived for the 2023-24 season.[1] In his Cowley College year before Morgan State, he averaged 7.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, shot 39% from the field, 37% from three, and 78% at the line, with a stronger freshman year of 9.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in 2021-22.[1] He also brings captain-level background from high school, which points to maturity and role-player reliability more than flash.[1]
