Marist’s Nick Buchman: a veteran arm with academic polish and intriguing upside
Nick Buchman enters the 2026 season as a redshirt junior right-hander for Marist, and his value is bigger than one line of stat sheet noise: he’s a durable, 6-foot-2 strike-thrower who’s stayed in the program’s rotation mix and earned MAAC All-Academic recognition in 2026. His 2026 stat line shows a 13.50 ERA over 6.2 innings with 3 strikeouts and 6 walks, so the command has to sharpen, but the profile still says competitive, experienced, and coachable. For a team, that means a thoughtful arm with real feel, not just velocity flash.
