Eric Winters flashed immediately in 2025, playing all 12 games, starting once at safety, and finishing as Auburn’s leading freshman tackler with 33 stops, 2.0 tackles for loss, and a sack. His calling card is downhill physicality in run support—PFF graded him as the SEC’s top run defender among freshmen—and he already showed he can handle SEC competition with multiple-impact games.
