LaCedra gives UMass Lowell a battle-tested arm with high-upside strikeout stuff
Giana LaCedra is a power right-hander for UMass Lowell whose calling card is big-game poise and swing-and-miss ability: after a standout high school career built on dominance, she has already shown she can carry long outings in college, including 6.1 scoreless innings with four hits allowed and three strikeouts against George Washington in 2026. Her fit is strongest for a team that values competitive toughness, experience, and the ability to neutralize lineups with command and tempo, though her college results have been uneven compared with her elite prep pedigree.
