Trystan James brings rebounding edge and championship pedigree to UNLV
James is a 5-foot-10 forward with a clear knack for the glass and a winning background: she helped Duncanville win a Texas 6A state title in 2023-24 and was described by UNLV as one of the top-15 rebounders in her Nike EYBL group. In her 2025-26 freshman season at UNLV, she played in 26 games and averaged 2.4 points in 9.7 minutes, while her high school production showed broader upside with 11.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game in 2024-25. She looks like a high-motor, defense-and-rebounding fit who can add toughness, energy and winning habits.[2][6][7]
