Todd Hudson brings left-handed power, defensive versatility, and contact value to Charlotte
Hudson is an intriguing corner-utility bat with real pull-side pop, enough on-base feel to contribute immediately, and defensive flexibility that lets a staff deploy him at first base or in the DH mix; in 2025 at Miami, he hit .259 with a .368 OBP, 1 HR, and 8 RBI in 21 games, while earlier college stops showed more offensive ceiling with a .273 average and .571 slugging in 2024. Evaluators note above-average bat speed and occasional loud contact, which makes him more than a stat line—he’s the kind of hitter who can change an inning when he gets the barrel out front.[1][2]
