Conner Watson brings high-end strikeout upside and electric arm talent to Evansville
Watson profiles as a right-handed pitcher with standout arm strength and a power arm that already drew major attention in Indiana high school circles, where he was praised for an 'electric' arm and posted a 7-0 record, 0.90 ERA, and 77 strikeouts in 62 innings in 2024. He also showed two-way value at the plate, but his real selling point is mound impact: a hard, competitive profile that suggests he can miss bats and handle pressure. He looks like a strong fit for a staff that values ceiling, intensity, and strikeout stuff.
