Cooper Middleton gives Western Michigan catching depth with a grinder’s edge
In the 2024 summer-league sample, Cooper Middleton appeared in 15 games and produced six RBIs, seven walks and four runs scored, showing a patient, team-first approach behind the plate.[3] He’s a right-handed catcher with enough offensive feel to contribute without forcing the action, and the fact that he’s been part of the Broncos’ active mix in 2026 suggests WMU values his reliability and clubhouse fit.[1][2] For a team wanting toughness, defensive-minded catching depth and a player who can handle the grind, Middleton looks like a solid fit.
