low-slot help arm for MVSU with swing-and-miss flashes
In the 2026 season, Clint Lafferty has worked as a junior right-handed pitcher for Mississippi Valley State, logging 15.2 innings with a 5.74 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, 6 strikeouts, and a 1-1 record; he also picked up a win against Alcorn and has been used in multi-inning relief roles[2][3][4]. The pitch profile looks more useful than flashy right now, but the practical fit is clear: he can give a staff innings, throw strikes in spots, and has shown enough competitiveness to hold up in conference play[2][3].
